why cant i save files to my SD card

i have been tryin to save files to my 8gig sdcard but having no luck, it will not let me add files 😕 can anyone help please

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Was it formatted on a Windows PC? If it was it is more then likely formatted NTFS, the Windows files system.

Mac's can read BUT Can NOT Write TO NTFS formatted drives.

Reformat it FAT32 or if it is only going to be used on a Mac then Mac Extended (Journaled).

Check to make sure it isn't locked, there is a little switch on the side. If it isn't locked then format it with Disk Utility.

nothing it will show up buy will not let me places any files, and no i just got it from the shop yesterday its only been im my mac
