How do you use a Time Capsule, 802.11n Wi-Fi Hard Drive (2TB) as an external hard drive?

I just got one yesterday and set it up. Wi-Fi works great and it's backing up my Macbook Pro without problems but my files (photos, vids, documents, etc..) aren't showing. Info on the Apple Store states that it can be used as external drive (one of the reasons I bought this). Can't find info. (in manual, tutorials, ...) on how to do this and have not yet figured it out.

Thanks.

MacBook Pro (15-inch Late 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Normally, the Time Caspule icon appears under the SHARED heading in the left side panel when you open the Finder.

Click on the Time Capsule icon and a folder representing the drive will appear just to the right.

Double-click the folder to open the drive and mount the icon on the desktop

You can drag/drop files to the open window or to the drive icon on the desktop

I assume you are using Time Machine to backup to your Time Capsule. Correct?

If you want to use it as a Hard Drive, just drag and drop things onto the Time Capsule icon or in the finder window.

Just like you would do with any external Hard Drive.

Everything you copy to the Hard Drive in this fashion will show up when you open up the Time Capsule window.

The Time Machine backup is a sparsebundle file and would be separate from your other files.
