I would advise for you to use your ehternet cord for a few reasons... you porobably alread have one at home.. if not they are very cheap to buy... its very easy to do... connect the ethernet cable in ports of each mac.

Another alternative would be to purchase an external HD... connect it by USB and dump all your files onto it...
