Mar 10, 2012 4:16 PM in response to filmandyby léonie,Image can become invisible, if you accidentally reject them, by giving them the rating "9". Then you would see this images in the "Rejected" album, is there anything?
If this also is not the problem, can you post a screen shot of your Aperture library window, showing the project in question?

I have a project in Aperture with about 6,000 photos. When I click on it in my library, none of the pics show up in the browser. When I go to "Get Info," it states that there are indeed over 6,000 photos in the project,
Where are you doing a 'Get Info' in Aperture? I'm unfamiliar with that command.

Mar 10, 2012 4:19 PM in response to filmandyby léonie,If your Library Inspector does not show a "Rejected" album, create one:
File -> New -> Smart Album
Rating is less than or equal to "x" (move the rating slider completely to the left)

Mar 10, 2012 4:25 PM in response to léonieby filmandy,Rejected album is now created and any photos that are missing in the library are also missing in here. I actually seem to have quite a number of projects that have zero pictures visible, but that say they have pictures inside them.
