itunes store error 5002

Hi,

I am trying to rent a movie from the itunes store and my computer is giving me the message "Cannot rent movie "name of movie here." An unknown error occurred (5002)." Does anyone know how to prevent getting this message so that I can complete the download?

Tried those troubleshotting tips already. Didn't work. Seems many many others are having same issue after the iTues 10.6 update from a day or so ago (me included).

I wonder... if you guys may want to call up AppleCare (if you have it), and ask to see a Senior Advisor. They may be able to put out a CAPTURE on your system to further aid engineering on this issue.

I just got off the phone with an Apple specialist who actually solved this problem. What worked for me was deleting the System Configuration folder from the Preferences folder (HD/Library/Preferences/System Configuration). After a restart, everything worked perfectly. None of the other solutions I read about online had any effect whatsoever.
