How do delete all email from a mail box?

On both iPad 2 and iPhone 4G there are mail boxes that accumulate a mass of mail. I must delete messages individually! Is there a way to delete all mail simultaneously?

No, the best you can do is, from your inbox, tap Edit (top right), then tap all the emails you want to delete and tap the Delete button at the bottom. There is no Delete All option.

This is a better and much easier way to delete multiple emails in inbox

1. Go to your inbox

2. Press Edit

3. Tap any message once to select it

4. Press AND HOLD the Move button

5. While still holding the Move button, tap the message you selected

6. Release the Move button

7. This will bring up a dialog box asking you which folder you’d like to move all your messages to – just select the Trash folder and you’re all done
