Do I need credit so that iMessage will activate my mobile number? I have used it before and turned it off since then. I now have no credit and every time I turn iMessage's on it says "waiting for activation" and down at the reieve at, it says my email address not my mobile number I'm just wondering if this perhaps is because of having no credit, or if it is any other problem

By credit, I mean mobile credit.. Like that you buy so you can ring and mesage people. I'm just wondering about it as I know you need the wifi connection and I am currently using my house wi-fi connection so it shouldn't be that. Do you have any ideas? Except for restoring and all that as I've already tired..

Yes, you need mobile credit to initially activate "iMessage" service. Even if that means you activated it before and used it. But since, you turned it off once, it would require to activate it again. (Personal experience) 🙂

What's the meaning of credit? If it's the credit of iTunes Store, the answer is absolutely no.
iMessage only works over WiFi or 3G, & thus requires a data plan from your carrier to function using cellular data.

To be honest I would assume you need to have credit. As you are using a phone providrs network nd they like to have payment for their services or use of their network 😉
