Why does Safari forget my automatic facebook login after I install Skype?

Safari forgets to automatically log in to my Facebook account. This started after upgrading Skype to version 5.6.0.143. I've deleted the cookies associated with Facebook. That didn't help. Safari keeps logging me out of Facebook ( And yes – I've put a tick in the "Keep me logged in" box ).

The only thing that helps is to completely remove Skype from my mac. Frustrating.

I'd like to be able to use Skype as well as Facebook in Safari. Can anybody help?

1. Open up your Safari Web browser and choose 'Preferences' from the Safari pull down menu.

2. Click on the heading 'AutoFill.'

3. Click on the box next to 'User Names and Passwords.'

4. Close the 'Preferences' window.

Now it should work.

That won't help, its an issue about facebook/skype interconnectivity, where unless you connect facebook to skype, facebook automatically signs you out in Safari. So you have 2 options to stop being signed out: either connect fb with skype, or uninstall. Or you could wait for a patch, it will happen eventually.

If you go into Facebook settings, in the app section under your account, and delete the skype from your facebook apps, it appears to fix this issue.
