Q: Do you really need a credit card?

Hey, I have heard that you do need one and that you don't need one.

So Do you really need a credit card to buy apps form the Mac App Store?

Also can you use paypal in Canada for it.

Hi Blaine...

If you see None in the Edit Payment Window after you sign in to the App Store, click Account under Quick Links, you can download free apps without a credit card but not all countries support this. Same for a PayPal button.

To purchase apps without a credit card or using PayPal, an alternative is to purchase iTunes Gift cards > iTunes Gift Cards - Apple Store (Canada)

iTunes Store: How to redeem a code
You can redeem a code under Quick Links right side of the Mac App Store window. Same for the iTunes Store.
