Hey Guys, I get this no matter what I install on my mac. I eventually fore quit it, and check.. and the app is always installed. I can run them and all, but why does this error keep happening? This is a pretty new build I just got the mac 1 week ago.
As of now the workaround is to restart the computer then run the software's installer again.
It's because you cannot have more than one "package" installation at time.
If you have that message when you install nothing, you can reinstall OS X Lion.
Seems a little extreme to have to re-install the entire OS.
So this is a known issue right now with Lion?

It takes 20-40 minutes and if you don't format your Hard Drive, you lost nothing.
Yes, it's a reported bug.
It is because it won't fix the problem permanently.
Unfortunately reinstalling does not fix the problem. There's a bug that needs to be squashed that has been reported to Apple.
I never had this problem, from the DP 1 of Lion to 10.7.3 now.
Well, many others have including myself. I've reinstalled, scratch reinstalled, but the issue eventually appears. It does not occur consistently but it does occur. And, I've seed tested all builds of Lion. If you haven't had an occurrence of the problem then you are fortunate (or lucky. 🙂)
Wow seems like a pretty serious bug I am suprised it hasn't been resolved yet. Hopefully soon.
