ITunes is Freezing during Sync!!!

I have new Ipod Nano. ITunes freezes 2 seconds into the sync. Only trying to load 2 playlist with a total of 80 songs. I have restored the ipod and still no luck. Help?

I had exactly the same problem this morning (sync would freeze up while syncing to my 6th gen nano). The only thing that seemed to solve it (after two phone calls to support) was doing a Time Machine restore to the day before I installed the update. Of course, if you don't run a Time Machine backup (or something comparable) I'm not sure how you could go about fixing the problem on your own.

Now of course I just have to make sure that I don't accidently install the update to iTunes until the problem is fixed on their end (because it appears to be a bug in the software).

Exact same issue for me, exact same device (nano 6th gen). I initially thought that the freezing was related to the iPod being "too full" as only when the device was <90% did syncing work fine.

Unfortunately, since my collection was larger than the nano's capacity, and the default option was "Automatically fill free space with songs" I could only sync once after restoring before the problem would come back. Subsequent syncs at >90% full deadlocked iTunes with 100% CPU usage. Annoying!!

Only after disabling Genius in the Store menu could I once again sync at >90% and re-access my device without restoring. Thanks!
