Handbrake Really Slow

So I'm trying to rip a 25 minute (24:21 to be exact) video to my Macbook. It is in the "normal" setting, ripping it's native size & resolution. At first I tried encoding it with H.264, but it said it would take 7 hours to complete! So I tried the MPEG-4 (FFmpeg) setting, and now it takes about an hour to complete. What am I doing wrong? Hre are my specs:

Macbook 1,1

2 GHz Intel Core Duo

1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Macintosh HD

And a picture of the Handbrake settings:

Thanks in advance!
