Cards and a gift card:possible?

There's an Apple app,cards,and i'd like to send one of them to my girl-friend. I don't have a credit card, so i was wondering if os possible to use a "gift card",the ones sold in the apple stores,to pay for it.

Can you help me?

Purchase and Redeem an iTunes Gift Certificate

You can purchase an iTunes Gift Certificate from the iTunes Store online in email or paper form. You can have the iTunes Store email the certificate to your recipient, or you can print out the certificate on your own printer for personal delivery. Purchase an iTunes Gift Certificate

  1. In iTunes, click iTunes Store in the Source list to go to the iTunes Store homepage (if you're not there already).
  2. Click Buy iTunes Gifts under QUICK LINKS in the right column.
  3. Select your delivery method by clicking the “Buy now” button in the appropriate section: Email Gift Certificates or Printable Gift Certificates.
  4. In the resulting screen, enter details such as your recipient's name, your name, a personal message, and the amount you wish to give (choose a dollar amount—from $10 USD to $50 USD—from the Amount pop-up menu). Depending on which delivery method you have chosen, you may also need to enter your recipient's email address or mailing address.   5. If you haven't already signed in with your iTunes Store account ID, you'll be asked to sign in. Refer toHow To Set Up an iTunes Store Account if you need to create one.
  6. In the resulting screen, verify all the information in the screen. If everything looks good, click Buy to make the purchase.

To redeem an iTunes Gift Certificate...

  1. In iTunes, click iTunes Store in the Source list to go to the iTunes Store homepage (if you're not there already).
  2. Click Redeem under QUICK LINKS in the right column.
  3. In the subsequent screen, enter your gift certificate number printed on the front of a paper certificate, or the certificate number in your emailed certificate, in the field.
  4. Click Redeem. If you aren't already signed in to the iTunes Store, you'll be asked to sign in. Refer to How To Set Up an iTunes Store Account if you need to create an iTunes Store account ID.

Once you redeem your certificate, the full amount appears next to your account ID name in the upper-right part of the window as a credit. Any time you buy an item, the purchase price (+ tax) will be deducted from the balance.

Purchase and Redeem an iTunes Gift Card

iTunes Gift Cards are plastic cards (the size of a credit card) that work just like gift certificates in that they can be redeemed for iTunes Store purchases. You can buy an iTunes Gift Card from the iTunes Store, or you will find them in plenty of retail stores across the United States in a variety of denominations. To purchase an iTunes Gift Card...

  1. iTunes Gift Cards may be purchased in various denominations at many retailers such as Target, Best Buy, or Walgreens, as well as Apple Retail Stores and the Apple Online Store.
  2. Locate a card that has the dollar amount you wish to give printed on the card.
  3. Place in your shopping cart and head to the checkout to make your purchase.

To redeem an iTunes Gift Card...

  1. Scratch off the silver coating on the back of your Gift Card to reveal a 16-digit code.User uploaded fileTo reveal the 16-digit code, use your fingernail or a coin to scratch off the coating on the back of the card.
  2. In iTunes, click iTunes Store in the Source list to go to the iTunes Store homepage (if you're not there already).
  3. Click Redeem under QUICK LINKS in the right column.

  5. Click Redeem. If you aren't already signed in to the iTunes Store, you'll be asked to sign in. Refer to How To Set Up an iTunes Store Account if you need to create an Tunes Store account ID.

Set Up and Use an Allowance

Like a traditional allowance, an iTunes Allowance is awarded to your recipient every month—from $10 USD to $50 USD—but in the form of an iTunes Store credit. You will need a credit card, which gets charged each month, to set up an allowance. Important: Before you set up an allowance, check with your recipient to find out if he or she already has an existing iTunes Store account or Apple ID. If so, it's important that you enter this account ID when setting up an allowance. Set up an iTunes Allowance

  1. In iTunes, click iTunes Store in the Source list to go to the iTunes Store homepage (if you're not there already).
  2. Click Buy iTunes Gifts under QUICK LINKS in the right column.
  3. In the resulting screen, click Set up an allowance now.
  4. From the next screen, enter your name and your recipient's name in the appropriate fields.
  5. From the Monthly Allowance pop-up menu (drop-down in Windows), choose a dollar amount from $10 USD to $50 USD that you want to give monthly.
  6. In the First Installment section, choose whether you want to give an allowance now and then on the first of the month thereafter, or wait until the first of the month to start.
  7. In the Recipient's Apple ID section, choose the "Create an Apple Account" radio button if your recipient does not already have an iTunes Store account or Apple ID. If he or she does, make sure that you choose the "Use recipient's existing Apple Account" radio button, and enter the ID in the two Apple ID fields.User uploaded fileIt is important to use your recipient's existing iTunes Store account or Apple ID (if he or she has one) when setting up an allowance.
  8. Type a message, if you'd like, in the Personal Message box.
  9. Click Continue. If you're not already signed in to the iTunes Store, you'll be asked to sign in.
  10. If you opted to create an iTunes Store account for your recipient, you'll see a "Create an Apple Account" screen. Your recipient's email address will be used as his or her account ID; make sure that it's one preferred by your recipient. Enter the required information, then click Create.
  11. If you opted to use an existing account ID, or after you create an account for your recipient, you'll get a confirmation screen. Verify the information, then click Buy.

Once you've purchased an iTunes Allowance, your credit card will be charged for the full allowance amount on the first of every month. You can cancel an allowance at any time from your iTunes Store Account Information page by clicking on Manage Allowances, locating the allowance you wish to cancel, then clicking Remove.

To redeem an iTunes Allowance...

  1. In iTunes, click iTunes Store in the Source list to go to the iTunes Store homepage (if you're not there already).
  2. Click the Sign In button in the upper-right part of the screen.
  3. In the resulting dialog, enter your iTunes Store account or Apple ID in the Apple ID field and type your password in the Password field.
  4. Click Sign In.

If the sender opted to send you an allowance immediately when he or she set it up, you should see the amount of your allowance next to your account name in the upper-right part of the window. If you don't see any dollar amount, wait until the first of the month for your allowance to kick in. Any time you buy music or audiobooks, the purchase price (+ tax) will be deducted from the balance.

Send Music, Videos, Audiobooks, and Apps as Gifts

If you want to put more thought into giving an iTunes Store gift than sending a Gift Certificate or iTunes Gift Card, give a specific iTunes Gift. This allows you to personally pick a song (or create a playlist of songs), album, video, audiobook, or app to send to someone.User uploaded fileYou can gift any song, album, video, audiobook, or app to anyone with a valid email address.

To send an iTunes Gift:

  1. In iTunes, click iTunes Store in the Source list.
  2. Find a song, album, audiobook, video, or app that you want to give to someone.
  3. Click the arrow to the right of the Buy button; in the resulting menu, choose the Gift option.
  4. Once you've clicked Gift, you'll either be asked to sign in with your account name and password, or you'll see a "Give a Gift" page. You'll need to fill in your recipient's (and your) details, such as names, email addresses, and a personal message. It doesn't matter which screen you get first, you will get both.User uploaded fileYou can send along a personal message with your gift in the "Give a Gift" page—be sure that you enter a valid email address too.
  5. Once you've successfully signed in and completed the gift form, you'll be brought to a page to review your purchase and confirm it.

Anamusic,I'm the same user of the other topic :D i don't get what i'm supposed to read in that page,tecnically I can bug anything,but cards it's a very Un-Apple product :( i've to wait something like 20 days for a 5 euros (7 bucks or so) card...and i can't even know if I can pay for it! There's any genius in those forum? I can't just waste 15 euros for a gift card that Maybe i can't even use...
