Can I update directly from iLife 08 to iLife 11 1

Can I update directly from iMovie 08 to iMovie 11 without updating the operating system to Lion?

Mac 10.5, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Yes. Purchase on the App Store or purchase the boxed set from Apple Online Store.

You don't have to go to Lion, but you do need at least Snow Leopard (10.6.8).

I suggest buying from the Mac App Store, as this is only $14.99 and you can install on multiple computers. Be sure to keep your iDVD from iLife 08, because Apple no longer sells iDVD. The iLife 08 version will work fine. iDVD has not been updated in serveral years.
