text box tilts when I click out of it!

I'm writing a paper in Pages. I inserted a text box, added a gradient color fill, put a border around it, and inserted the text. It looks perfect! One problem: when I click out of the box to continue writing the paper, the box tilts! If I click in the lower right hand corner of the box twice, it realigns to a straight position, but the minute I click back out of it, it tilts again. Dang gremlins!!

Anyone have a solution so I can submit a paper without a tilted text box?? Thank you!

At some point you have rotated the textbox. You may have accidentally pulled at the corner with the command key down.

Pages behavior is to unrotate it so you can type in it.

If you never wanted it to be rotated:

Inspector > Metric > Rotation: 0

to set it back to square.
