The only fix I've found is to open iTunes as administrator. Right click desktop shortcut and select Run as Administrator. I was able to search just fine that way. I hope that helps.
It worked for me, but I´ve searched for two hours in this site just to find anything to a definitive fixing
Considering how many people are experiencing this exact same problem, one might think that Apple would release an update. I wrote an email to their support staff and basically got the run-around. While the support staff for their hardware devices is quite good, their software support leaves much to be desired. I'm almost reminded of a government institution when sending a request for software support - all double talk and no viable results.
It worked. Thanks a lot
Thanks for the QUICK fix. I hope apple takes care of the problem in a future update.
I wouldn't count on Apple taking care of the problem in a future update. The problem is, after all, a Windows bug and Apple is really not obligated to fix problems for Windows users. Still, it would be a nice gesture on their part if they did.
Try right hand click on iTune short cut and click run as administrator and try it from there
that did not work
Thank you. worked like a dream. Yea!!!
