I can't remember my password and cannot download "word" CD
Hello! I cannot remember my password and cannot download software. Is there any way to find it or do I have to make an appointment and go into an Apple Store?
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

If you set up your Apple ID when you created your account you can use that to reset your password see OS X Lion: Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password
If not you can look at Mac OS X: Changing or resetting an account password
If all that fails see Reset a Lost Mac OS X Lion Password
Hi Frank!
My husband bought me the computer and can't remember the set up password that he told the guy at the Apple Store, that's why I don't know it.
Just go to this link then Reset a Lost Mac OS X Lion Password
Follow the directions and you;ll be good.
regards and enoy the new computer!
Sorry, I'm not a techie! What does: hold option at boot and select the "recovery" disk at the boot menu mean???
OK, waht you will do is restart the computer (either power it up if it is off or else choose restart) once you do that press the option key (on some keyboards it might say alt). Its the key to the left of the command key and hold it.
You'll see a screen that lets you choose which disk to boot off. One of then will be labled Recovery HD choose that one.
When he system finishes booting you'll see the screen shown on the page I linked to under the heading
Method 1 – Reset a Lost Mac OS X Lion Password
follow the instructions from there.
regards
