Hi !
I edit a show on Final Cut pro. It went to ONLINE and now they gave us back a MXF file. I look about everywhere and didn't find any way to open that file. At first I tried with Avid... After I did import it into XDCAM transfer. I download XDCAM Browser for FCP too. Nothing is hapening. FCP won't import the files.
Any chance someone here know how to make this work ?

I'd start by asking the online people about this file. How did they export it? From what? What type of MXF is it? And why did they export an MXF file when you are using FCP? Did you not give them details about what file type you need them to provide yoU?

Well, I did ask for a .Mov Pro Res uncompress but it seems to complicated fro them so they game me the exact file that they ship to the TV Station.
I did left them a message yesterday without any call back so That's why I came here in case.
Why do you want to open it? It's onlined and done. You just need to deliver that, no?
It's already been delivered. Now what I need to do is to compress it to put a snippet of the show on Vimeo for international sales. But it's ok, they sent me a.MOV and I did it. But I'm still wondering if there's anyway to open that kinbd of files in the future. Hope they will call me back
