It has all the sounds Logic has (besides the surround ones) plus the patches. I haven't counted them.

Great! so, just to clarify, that means that even if i don't purchase logic i can still use the 1700 sampled imstruments? I'm playing a synth part for a musical and would like software that gives me a wide veriety of patches to layer and organize to make playing the show easier.

Exactly. You get all the Logic content but you don't need to buy Logic to use it.
