Can an iMac (7,1) be booted into 64-bit mode in Lion?

Our 2007 iMac 2.4G Core2Duo (7,1) doesn't boot into 64-bit mode when holding down the 6 and 4 keys in 10.6.8.

We were wondering if this has changed in Lion, as we're wanting to run Adobe Lightroom 4 which seems to require 64-bit mode.

TIA!

Thanks for all the replies, folks!!

The terminal commands returned EFI64, so I'll make a Lion installer drive and give that a try on a backup and report back.

I found a post about Mountain Lion compatibility on another forum that said that the 7,1 model was

64-bit capable but disabled in firmware when released until more developers had a chance to update

their apps for 64-bit compatibility.

Thanks again!
