No Wireless At Login Screen

I recently setup a Macbook Air by joining it to our Mac Server OD Master and our Active Directory Windows Server. At the login screen of my Macbook Air, I am prompted to enter my username and password. The problem is I have not logged into this machine using any AD accounts before so there is no cached profile.

When I try to select the wireless icon on the menu of the login screen, nothing happens. I can't seem to click on it, nor will it show I am connected to a wireless network. I do also get the prompt saying that "Network Accounts are Unavailable", probably because I can't get on the network.

My question, is how can I get this Macbook Air to connect to a wireless network at the login screen.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

The problem here is that the wireless password is stored in the user's keychain. The keychain and its contents are not accessible until a user has logged in and authenticated against it so that it can unlock.

Would be great if they enable wireless before the login screen like they do when you are walking through the setup assistant after a new OS installation.

I did follow

http://www.ntsystems.it/post/Joining-WiFi-before-login-on-Mac-OS-X-108.aspx

or

https://www.afp548.com/2013/03/07/another-way-to-enable-wi-fi-at-login-window-wi th-profiles/

but NOT with

<key>PayloadScope</key>

<string>Loginwindow</string>

it has to be:

<key>PayloadScope</key>
<string>System</string>

In that case I have wireless available at login screen (WPA2 Enterprise certificate based authentication), but AD user can NOT authenticate (even the machine is connected to the network just fine - responds to pings)

Anybody any ideas?
