HP Photosmart 5510 drivers for OSX 10.4 or below

Does anyone know of a patch that will work as a driver for a HP Photosmart 5510 all in one inkjet printer? HP doesn't support any Mac OS below 10.5. My daughter got a printer for Christmas and can't install the drivers on her iMac G4 running Tiger 10.4

Thanks,

DanK

I think you may may be able to use the Photosmart c7200 series driver instead. You can download and try that from this page. It's a whopping 217.26 MB in size, but it is compatible with 10.3.9, 10.4, and 10.5.

Install it and test all the features of your printer to be sure they all work as they should, You may not get all the features of your new printer, but if it's not an important feature, you can still use your new printer.

If it doesn't work at all for you, uninstall the driver(s), return the printer for a refund, and get yourself something that does work with 10.4. In the meantime, you should update to 10.4.11, along with all the other updates you've missed from Software Update, too.
