I have 4 mail boxes configured in to my Mac Mail. The problem is, in one mail box, when i receive emails to that mailbox, the messages are already marked as Read. It's configured as IMAP. What should i do on this? Thanks!

I have this problem too. Half my mail arrives as Read, when I have not looked at it. This is a pain in the neck! I have several email addresses but it does not seem obvious which items are marked as read and which remain marjked as unread. C'mon! Anyone have any ideas why this happens? Please?

I have the reverse, i.e. I have read emails, they as they should becoome come unmarked. Next day or so, these same mails are marked again and then I will start reading them again. very frustrating and counterproductive. I use iCloud. I do not know how to solve this, help !!!

Thanks, installed it and trying but the problem remains, once the mail is turned into read (bold type face, ot the little blue bullet that works fine and does not come back I found out), it becomes unread again i.e., bold type face). I will fiddle with the plugin a bit but it seems the problem is elsewhere.

In fact the plugin does not resolve anything even if I remove the bold type face option for unread mails, i.e. just the little blue ball to indicate a mail has been unread i.e. new. Read mails become unread again as if they are downloaded again from the iCloud server
Actually for me it seems to work ... partially. Bold face and blue bullet stay in palce unless I reply or open the email. However, the plug-in does not get everything. It's like it's very selective as to what it determines to be new, old and read.
One of my favorite Email Client was Eudora. I may have to look at that again. Entourage was great but when it crashes, It crashes hard. Even with backup files.
Hopefully Apple will beef up and put some effort into their mail client. So many feature that are missed.
