Is there any way of assigning different signatures to different email accounts on the iPhone?
Seems very basic, anyone got any solutions?

No, I don't think so. But, as far as I remember, there are apps that let you do this.
Search for "email signature" or similar.

Actually, this little issue arose from trying to solve somehting else.
Any thought appreciated and apologies if it's just me being thick.
When sending email from my new gmail business account (via Mac mail on my MBP),
it arrives at it's destination stating it's from my personal gmail account.
I've deleted the personal account from the mac mail and re set up the business account
as well but the problem persists.
It's driving me mad.

I use an app called Quick Signature. It works great for this exact purpose.

It's not possible to reply to an email currently as Apple has that functionality locked down from 3rd party apps. The Quick Signature app has gesture based cut and paste which works well in these situations.
