Best iPad 3 Case

Hello guys. Could anyone point me in the direction of a very good iPad 3 case that covers the back and also folds over the front. similar to the one that Apple launched with the iPad 1. Im not fussed about one with a magnet that just covers the screen. I'm in the UK. Best wishes..

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

I believe this one is the best case,

with smart cover function, only $17, don't know why people buy a case for more than $40?

Well, the OP is looking fro a case similar to the iPad1 folio case from Apple. The case in your link is nothing like it. The closest case anyone has pointed out so far to the iPad1 case is the Hard Candy Convertible:

And it's a $40+ case. So to answer your question, anyone who wants to replicate the iPad1 case for the new iPad is going to pay $40+, unless you can point out a cheaper one?

Gcubed, I have seen several others that aren't much different than that one, but half the price. Why you trying to push something so expensive that barely keeps up? Just like with the iPad 2, it seems like the best case for the money (and isn't much differend than Gcubed is pushing) is the Bear Motion.

Oh yeah, and it is actually available to buy now, unlike Gcubed's, which is another week out... lol

orange93, I'm not pushing anything. I am searching for a New iPad case that is as close as possible, formally and functionally, to the original iPad1 case. Google searching for that crietria lead me to this thread, which according to the OP, aligns pretty well with that sentiment. Also, like the original post of this thread, I do not have price listed in my own critera.

So if you want to "push" cases that cost less, and are less like the iPad1 case than the one johnb0002002 singled out in his response to the subject of the OP, feel free.

For the sake of my, and the OP's, own search I am trying to keep this thread on topic.

Combined with the Apple Smart case/cover, this is the nicest case I've found, perfect for business settings and has lots of cushioning. The leather is pretty nice as well:

Otherwise, you can splurge for this one for 10 times the price 😉 :

I also like the original ipad first gen cover. It is light and does what I need. It works as well today as it did when I first got it. I like the Iluv Origami, but worry that constantly bending the flaps will keep it from gong back to flat after a while. I mostly use my cover in it's "stand" position whether it is on my lap or on a desk.

I bought an Ipad2 cover at Staples to get me through until I figure out what i want and find that the magnetic on and off is a bit of a bother. Most likely the magnets don't line up correctly, but also the flap has started to lift and does not fully close. So i would worry about that happening with some of the less expensive options...maybe they are not using good quality materials that would keep their shape as well?
