Mar 13, 2012 2:59 PM in response to besanby lllaass,All you can do is look for it the old fashioned way. Apple will not help.
Change the passwards for all accounts used on the iPod and report it to the police.

Mar 13, 2012 3:31 PM in response to besanby lllaass,Once you wipe the iPod via iCloud yu can not longer locate the iPod via iCloud. You will have to find it the old fashioned way.
"Device does not appear in Find My iPhone
This can occur if:"
"You have already initiated a wipe of the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. The device will not appear on the page until it is reconfigured with your iCloud account information."
Above from:
iCloud: Troubleshooting Find My iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac
