Windows server can no longer find domain

Without changing anything, as far as I know, a Windows 2003 server can no longer see the OS X Open Directory. The first symptom was when users tried to log in to the server but could not. The second symptom was when I tried to rejoin the Windows server to the domain but the domain could not be found. I have tried restarting everything, as well as restarting the SMB service on the OS X Server. To no avail. Any clues would be great!
