Software Update Trouble (pics included)

Hi Everyone,


I'm having trouble doing a software update. Here is what I do:


Apple Logo > Software Update > ...checking for new software... > (screen appears below)




User uploaded file




Then when I click Network Diagnostics >


User uploaded file


Please help. It's been like this for months 😟

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Select  ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network ▹ Advanced ▹ Proxies. If any boxes are checked, uncheck them, apply your changes, and try again. You must apply the changes before they take effect.

Thank you SO much! You fixed my Mac 😀


The computer guy at uni must of changed my settings when I couldn't get it to connect to the wifi at uni. Come to think of it, it hasn't updated since then!
