I'm having trouble doing a software update. Here is what I do:
Apple Logo > Software Update > ...checking for new software... > (screen appears below)
Then when I click Network Diagnostics >
Please help. It's been like this for months 😟
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
Select ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network ▹ Advanced ▹ Proxies. If any boxes are checked, uncheck them, apply your changes, and try again. You must apply the changes before they take effect.

The computer guy at uni must of changed my settings when I couldn't get it to connect to the wifi at uni. Come to think of it, it hasn't updated since then!
