These forums are mostly for technical issues. If you go here you will find many links related to your question.
Try some searches in the box next to the blue seearch button...there was a post earlier this week from a parent of an autistic youngster who had damaged the iPad screen...and there have been others in the past couple of months asking about using the iPad with autistic students.
If you can contact or post to those posts you may be able to get responses and develop a support group to help with your needs. There seem to be several in that area now and you may be able to help each other.
