I'm having a new issue not being able to play [HTML5?] videos on YouTube on Safari 9.1.2 in macOS 10.9.5 on a 2011 MacBookAir. For example, the error message on Making A Ford Focus RS In Germany - YouTube says "Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available. Click here to visit our FAQ about HTML5 video." The last sentence is a link to YouTube (/HTML5) which was confusing to me. I have ClickToFlash 3.2 extension loaded and enabled. Settings turned on are: Block Flash manually; Load Flash if HTML5 conversion fails; Use HTML5 media fallbacks. Among the Flash to HTML5 conversion scripts listed is "killers/YouTube/.js". I have enabled automatic Extension Updates. Safari Security Prefs shows Allow Plug-ins enabled. Under Manage Website Settings,Adobe Flash Player security is set to Allow Flash. Curiously, when I switch that to Ask, go back to the YouTube video above, and reload the page it RUNS! Problem solved??
Hi ...
Since most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin, uninstall the old then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Quit then relaunch Safari. From the menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
Then try a video.
FYI... when you post for help, please tell us which Mac OS X you have installed. Thanks! 🙂

That should work or try disabling Click to Flash.
If you have Click to Flash extension installed, disable it. It is killing the flash vids on YouTube.
If Click to Flash is installed, then disable it.
