iPhone 4 IOS 5.1 WIFI PROBLEM

It cannot connect to ANY WiFi, or just your home WiFi? If it's just your home try rebooting your router by turning if off or unplugging its power cord for about 15 seconds.

What Wi-Fi Router do you use?

Can you try to upgrade the firmware on the router? I have had similar issues with my Linksys Router, and have found when i upgrade the firmware, my iOS devices connect better. Not sure if i can say the same for Thomson.

Same here, I have been using a iPhone for years and now after updating my iPhone to 5.1 I can no longer connect to my home wifi router. The phone sees it but when I try And get my mail or use my browser it says I am not connected to the Internet. DO NOT UPGRADE TO OS 5.1

If it was because of the update you would see a million posts about it. There's another answer, and the OP will have to find it.

I am having this same problem on the iPhone 3GS.

Please note that it is NOT the router. I am having major troubles while visiting in London after the update. I am very lucky to see any wireless signals at all, whereas my friends with iPhones and other smartphones are able to connect just fine.

It isn't the router for you. It is for anyone who only has problems with one router. What you can try:

• Settings/General/Reset - Resent network Settings (you will lost WiFi passphrases, but nothing else)
• Still a problem? Settings/General/Reset All Settings (again, you won't lose anything critica)
• Restore the phone as New using iTunes. Test WiFi before reinstalling anything.
• If all of the above fail to solve the problem you have a failed WiFi chip and will have to get the phone repaired.

I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1 last night and now cannot connect to my home wifi. It can't just be a coincidence and I'm not sure what to do. Have tried reseting my router and network settings.
