Q: Why can I only stream music when connected via ethernet cable?

I have my airport express set up to a) extend current wifi and b) stream music via airplay. Everything seems to work fine, but then the music streams via wifi for only about two seconds then cuts out and doesn't resume. However, when I have my computer connected to the Airport via ethernet cable, the music streams just fine. Any thoughts why this might be?

    Wireless interferrence?

    You may want to try different channels instead of "Automatic" or another channel...

     

    What is your main base station that the Express is extending?

    Extreme or Time Capsule?

    I assum you have the box checked to "allow this network to be extended" ?

     

    Let us know a little more and if changing the channel helps...
