I'm Having the same problem - now itunes cannot log into my phone due to the iphone being lock with security code.

How can I disable the security code on the device?

I have asked that question as well and no one knows.  I am going to replace it and see if that helps.  Could it be because I installed the new ios 7?

Hey, this just happened to me also.  I tried to restore the phone with ITUNES but it wouldn't let me because it was asking me to accept the ITUNES request on my phone, which was black.  The next thing I tried worked.  Use the Apple Find my phone application and use the erase feature.  It seems drastic but better than going to Apple and fighting the lines.  Now after you have done this you can restore you phone to its newest state either with the ICloud backup or ITUNES.

Most people seem to wait until the battery runs out then reboot it. Might be less drastic.

Anyway, same here. Except XCode caused it. I hit run twice since it wasn't responding, the 2nd time caused my app to freeze. Now the whole phone is black. I believe access to the battery is all I need to fix this, but Apple decided to enclose the battery instead. I never understand that thinking. Cause brick, remove fix. Prank from design?
