iTunes reopens in windows 7.. updated to 10.6. Wi-fi sync is off. once i close itunes window it reopens itself after 2 seconds.. what could be causing this? thanks guys!

I found my problem! It was the stupid Media Display in the Logitech Gaming Software. Once I disabled the plugin and killed the task, iTunes closes perfectly.
WOw thanks danddn2003!! Really wouldn't have thought it was that.. installed logitech software a week ago and havent used itunes since then and now it started doing that.. disabled like you did and killed task.. iTunes now closes!! thanksss =)
Thanks for the solution. Disabled media display for the Logitech software (G15 keyboard) and all is well again.

I dont have a Logitech keyboard nor anything Logitech installed on my PC. However, this thread did send me looking and my fix was as follows:
go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced and uncheck "Enable Full Keyboard Navigation" at the bottom.
By the way, Microsoft Laser Wirelss Mouse and Keyboard

I'm not running the Logitech software and I have this issue too. Anybody know what might be causing it?
Just so you know: I also have a Logitech keyboard (G510) and this was happening to me, but disabiling the media display doesn't work for me (iTunes just keeps opening itself when I close it, until I kill its process), so it's likely a coincidence that it worked for you.
I found out that what was causing my problem was my razer Lycosa keyboard, which has a media panel that you can select for your media player (mine was itunes). The button that opened itunes or any media player up was glitching up (maybe because of sensitivity or something) so that the program would just continually just keep opening up if i closed it. I fixed it by going into the driver and disabling that media panel.
