Best app for transfer files between a Mac and iPod Touch

I've got a 64GB iPod Touch 3rd gen and would like to transfer files between it and my mac with Mac OS X Tiger.

I'm running iTunes 9.2.1 so don't know if it's possible (When iTunes is open and the iPod is connected it says

a newer version of iTunes is required: iTunes 10. The iPod is running iOS 5.0.1.

DropBox might help! I use them often and it works like a charm! Just download dropbox to ur Mac and sign in! And obv. Get the drop box app on ur iPod....! Good luck!
