Still cant track my Ipad order in the UK, UPS.

My order was supposedly shipped on the 10th of March with UPS. However I have been unable to track my order on the UPS website with the code which was provided on the Shipment Status page next to tracking number. I copy this into the UPS track window and it comes up with: UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later. And: Tracking or InfoNotice Numbers,This leads me to a page with the correct formats of tracking codes. The code which I have is a 10 digit number.


Does anyone know if I am doing anything wrong or wether it is just the system?

Good question. :-)

The UPS number provided by Apple (mine is starting with 81****) is actually not a tracking number. It is a "reference number".


You therefore need to go to the "track reference" section of the UPS Web site and type this number. then you should get your "real" tracking number and get access to your requested information.


At this time, I'm in the same situation than you, concenring scheduled shipment (delivery shceduled for tomorrow). Information provided by UPS Website shows that shipment sticker has been generated but the parcel doesn't seem to be yet in the UPS loop.

My tracking number has only just started working today, and I'm in the same position as you,


"A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."


I did phone Apple yesterday to question why UPS had not activated my tracking codes and the support guy assured me that it's all on schedule still to arrive at my home on the 16th as planned. I'm going to be checking the UPS site now that my tracking number works several times throughout the day and see how my package progesses through their system and how quick. Fingers crossed!

It depends on where the devices are. I think Apple has already managed to ship devices to most of the UPS centers accross Europe, based on pre-orders. So, your parcel should not be far from your home. I tend to think that UPS is waiting for green light from Apple for starting the shipment process, locally.


Goal for them is to avoid deliveries before release date. If shipment process starts today, during the day, you'll get your parcel tomorrow.


Just my guess. I also keep my fingers crossed for having my new toy by tomorrow and play with it over the WE.
