I see several people have mentioned that they receive alerts from shared events with the function turned off. I am receiving duplicate alerts for events in iCalendar, is this related? It is driving me nuts. On my iPhone I have turned off iCloud alerts, no help - then turned off iCalendaer alerts, no help.
I do not receive duplicate alerts on my Mac but only on my iPhone.
Any insight, or help somone can offer?

I have the same problem, drive me nuts! Everything syncs fine, but for no reason the calendar alerts are duplicated.
This never happened before. Must be something with teh set-up, but to date, I could not resolve this.
I will also like to get some advice!

Guys, I just got this! What happened was that when I switched to iCloud, I did not cancel the Calendar Sync in Itunes. Itunes then carries on with its reminders while ICloud does its bit. That is why you get two reminders. I switched off the calendar sync in Itunes and problem solved! When using iCloud, stick to it and ensure that, what you sync on iCloud, does not also sync in Itunes! Hope this helps!
I had the exact same problem and its been driving me NUTS!!!! Thank you so much for posting the fix on here. Have just made the change and am sync-ing. Hopefully it will stop the repetitive bing-ing!!!
