i see the birthday calendard on my ipad in the "other" category, but i cannot create an event and put it into that calendar. how does it work?

You add information about birthdays in the Contactsapp.

thanks Matt, i had tried to edit a contact thinking that was it and when i tried to add the birthday field it didnt appear. guess its has to be a contacts app entry and not something from outlook is a guess. when i add a new contact i saw the field "birthday". so i tried to edit a different contact and i saw the field.
i hate the mess it makes when you have contacts, outlook contacts and maybe something from the phone. cleaning that up is my next task
Yes, it's the Birthday field in the Contacts ap that the Birthday Calendar pulls its information from.
