Why do notes keep appearing in my inbox
Why do blank Notes show up in my inbox regularly? I cannot find a way to shut them off.

Every time you synchronize your iPhone with your Mac, Notes and email on your Mail app on the Mac are updated based on what's on the iPhone. You create a Note on the iPhone, you plug said iPhone to the Mac, and boom, your Note is backed up on the Mac. The real question is, why empty Notes...?
I don't own an iPhone. I am referring to the Apple "Notes" application which is somehow linked to my Mail account. There is an option in Preferences>Account Information>Mailbox Behavior to turn it off, which I did, but I still get them sent to my Mail inbox.

It's a per-account setting.
Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts. For each account, go to Mailbox Behaviors and disable the Show Notes in Inbox option.
Please read my post. I have turned them off but the Notes still show up. Any other suggestions?
Do you have only one mail account?
I have two but one had been taken off-line; both have not enabled the Notes function.
In Terminal, do
defaults read com.apple.Mail | grep StoreNotesInInbox
(you may copy and paste the line).
What's the result?
StoreNotesInInbox = NO;
StoreNotesInInboxIsDiscovered = 1;

I wasn't aware of this property.
Is your profile correct? Are you using Mac OS X (10.5.2)?
10.5.8

That explains it. You're using a different version of Mail.
You're in the wrong forum -- this forum is for 10.6 Snow Leopard. This tip
