Mar 19, 2012 11:51 PM in response to Hanjaliby NWU,Just tried restoring my magazine subscription and it worked. Now if only Apple could refund me for the 2 issues in my pre-paid subscription that I got charged for. Sigh.

Mar 20, 2012 7:27 AM in response to Spiridusby Spiridus,Mine worked as well. Here's a response I received after restoring my purchases, in case it doesn't work for any of you:
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem restoring or downloading digital issues.
Our technical team has fixed the issue.
In order to restore past purchases or download the current issue, you will need to delete issues showing in the Newsstand. To delete an issue, simply press your finger down on the image until it starts to wiggle and an X appears in the left-hand corner. Tap on the X. A dialog box will appear. Tap Delete.
Once you have done this for all Martha Stewart Living and/or Everyday Food issues, return to the Store. You will be able to restore purchases and install current issues of the magazines.
We apologize for any inconvenience. Please let us know if you need additional assistance.
Sincerely,
MSLO Customer Relations

Mar 20, 2012 9:59 AM in response to Spiridusby DLMTechnology,Woke up this morning, received the same emails from Martha and all I did was open up the magazine app and all my past issues said "Purchased", no need to delete anything or redownload an app. All is happy in iPad Land again!

May 30, 2012 10:04 PM in response to Cat.raeby RandyK37922,Actually the some problem exists for Mac Life and Florida Travel, so this is not a Martha S. problem.. Just FYI, my Zinio mags transferred seamlessly, which is interesting, because I think that Apple recently bought them for the technology.

May 30, 2012 10:11 PM in response to Elena S.by Confused..,I think apples knows but Im not related to apple nor do I know much about tech stuff
The new 5.1.1 update in the app store says
"Fixes an issue where 'Unable to purchase' alert could be displayed after successful purchase"
As the last bullet.
You should still email them to change though probably for results

May 19, 2013 8:10 PM in response to Spiridusby Mppburns,Did you ever resolve this issue? I am trying to restore an instyle magazine. It tells me to go to the library and select settings and then the option to restore digital settings.
Where do I locate these options? I can't seem to find them
ThAnks in advance.
