16:9 or 4:3 Video on "New iPad"?

I know the new iPad has the Retina display and I know the resolution of the new screen(2048 X 1536), but what I do not know is what is the aspect ratio of the video and photos it takes?

iMac 27, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 2.8Ghz Intel Quad Core i7 / 8GB / 1TB

it takes 4:3. it can still display 16:9 or cinema standard (2.39:1) though...

So both Video and Photographs are in 4:3 when you export them to a video editor then?
