Mar 16, 2012 8:44 AM in response to luisafromlongmeadowby Kappy,First, there are no viruses active that affect OS X. Second, the hardware test is activated by restarting the computer and after the chime pressing and holding the "D" key until the test screen appears.

The hardware tests, well, the hardware. As Andy suggested, post the issue or problem that's leading you to think your system might have a virus and I'm sure someone here can can provide guidance.

Mar 16, 2012 2:25 PM in response to luisafromlongmeadowby varjak paw,What sort of "snapshot"? If you mean a screen shot, yes, you can, by clicking the "camera" icon in the toolbar when you reply. But before you do, it would be best if you can just give us a brief description of the issue. Then if a screen shot would help, we'll ask for one and you can upload one by that "camera" button.
