I just got the New iPad and I noticed that the power adapter is different than my iPad 2. The iPad 2 has the block with the prongs sticking out. The new iPad has a larger more rectangular adapter where the prongs fold. Does it matter what power adapter I use for each iPad?
It shouldn't make any difference.
What baffles me is that my old charger cable will not work on my new iPad and my VGAadapter seems to,fit but the iPad to USB does not. Go figure that.
Power adapters I have for iPad 2 and new iPad are exactly the same.
Every power adapter for every iPad I've bought (iPad, iPad 2, new iPad) has been identical. All of them have a square block with folding prongs.
I figured it out. The angle for inserting is odd on the New iPad. All insert all right once you figure that out.
