Cannot connect CanonMG5250 to MacBook Pro

My Canon MG5250 seems to be connected to my wifi as the blue light at the side shows yet my MB cannot detect the printer. The odd thing is that it has detected the scanner. I reset the printing system once my MB kept on saying a connection error occured every time I tried to print and now it can't detect it again.

I've reset the LAN settings on my printer, I tried to restore from Time Machine and reconnected my printer but my MB still doesn't detect it. Once I used the Canon IJ Network tool and it detected my printer but did another search before allowing me to select and then the printer disappeared.

How do I reconnect my printer?

If this helps here is some info from my network configuration page:

Try disabling the WSD setting, as this has be known to stop the "canonijnetwork" protocol used by the printer driver from being seen by the Mac.

Also, download and install the MG5250 v10.51.2.0 printer driver.
