I used the font 'handwriting - dakota' for parts of my project and when I preview the font is replaced? This is a font that came with the software and it should work properly. I have tried it on both an iPad 1 and now an iPad 3. Any ideas?
Using the iBA menu to 'show fonts' brings up all OS X font choices, not just those that work with an iPad (1, 2 or new).
Use a supported iOS font, instead. See iBA's font menu in the toolbar for ones that are compatible.
This is a font that came I stalled with the software. I didn't add it. It is alsO a default pages font.
Again, you're using the wrong font menu. Those are OS X fonts...many of them will not work on iPad. You need to only use iOS fonts.
Use the font family pulldown menu in the toolbar.

and that's where I am, it shows up in both the drop down, and the floating fonts box. But I just found a list and its not on it, I must have installed it and I don't remember doing it. I guess I am getting old.

It is important to understand that normally a machine can only display a font which is installed on it. So it doesn't matter what you have on your Mac, it only matters what is present on the iPad (which is not something you can change),
