Full screen new iPad and 3rd gen apple tv

I want to use AirPlay in full screen on my new iPad and new apple tv.

The new Apple TV fully supports full screen airplay. I assume you therefore refer to mirroring, which cannot be full screen. A TV screen has an aspect ratio of 16:9, the iPad has aspect ratio of 4:3, the iPhone has an aspect ratio of 3:2, as you can see neither of these devices are going to fully fill al TV screen, without stretching. Of course nobody wants to watch a distorted picture.

Those apps have been specifically enabled to fill the screen. You will have to refer to your TV manual but on my set there is a setting that says 'wide fit' . You don't want to change the resolution and it's already mirroring 4:3, what you're looking to do is stretch the I image to fill your screen. Just note that it may look distorted and certain apps may get cut off
