This seems really strange but why is it that I cannot download any music or apps to my iPad no matter what I have tried, Last time this happened I couldn't do anything due to issues with the bank thinking it was fraud. This cannot be the issue though as I tried my iPod touch and it works perfectly and have even purchased music with it. Please help!

Me too. iTunes just shut off on me about five times today. I went to an Apple Store, and it happened there, too. The girl at the Apple Store didn't have an explanation. They were real busy, and she told me if it continues , to make an appointment and go back.

Try signing out of your account and restart your iPad.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID and tap the ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Go back to Settings>Store> Apple ID and sign in again.
This doesn't work as when I sign out and restart it only ever asks me to enter password and ID has been filled in like I hadn't even signed out. Will try it again though and let you know if it has changed
Well I finally was able to sign out, but I believe it has made it worse because now it doesn't show an error has occurred rather it just sits there waiting to download but never will

I have exactly the same issues. I'm unable to download anything from iTunes or app store. The apps just sit there with 'waiting'. This is on an IPad 1 but on my computer and iPhone4s it all works fine.
Would love to have an answer on this

Same here, I can try all day to download anything on the iPad and I get nothing but waiting or errors but I can use my iPod and it hasn't got an issue. Thought it was the new update but my iPod is also fully updated and it works the way it should

Yes but only waiting is happening now which could be seen as a plus I suppose but, the issue seems to be the connection between my device and the apple app store and iTunes as the wifi indicator doesn't show it's loading anything
Have you checked in iTunes or in the iBook Store to see if you have any downloads that did not complete - it could be a song, podcast, movie, book - something that did not finish downloading. If you have a stalled download elsewhere - that will prevent apps from downloading as well.
I can stream live tv or browse the web and do literally anything I want but get downloads from app store or itunes
I don't use the those features as I have no need for them

Yes, but I cannot purchase music or apps on my iPad since yesterday. Thinking this might be an issue with the bank I tried using my iPod instead to confirm it but it works fine with both the app and iTunes store so why is it only on my iPad
