I dropped my ipod classic and now whenever i press the middle and menu buttons, the apple symbol comes up and starts ticking and then the red cross comes up! HELP. i cant access anything and it does not pop up on my computer!!!!

i've tried that.... only the apple symbol + ticking followed by the red cross and it just shuts down again =/
If that's the case, the issue is hardware related. Probably the iPod's Hard Drive. You'll need to have the iPod serviced by Apple or a third party repair company if you would like to continue using it. Otherwise, it's time to start investing in a new one.
