CAN YOU SYNC TWO APPLE TV'S IN ONE HOME (SAME ID'S) TO PLAY MUSIC TOGETHER?

AppleTV 2, iOS 5.1

Yes. But only if you initiate the music from iTunes on your Mac/PC.

Start the music playing in iTunes, click the Airplay icon at the bottom, and choose 'Multiple Speakers'. This will let you tick the AppleTV's you want to send the music to.  I'm listening to music on my Mac & two different AppleTV's as I type this, all syncing beautifully.

I tried it from an iPad, but it only seems to let you choose a single set of speakers.

One other way is to use the Airplay Remote on the iphone/ipad. The "Airplay" icon in that app lets you connect and set the individual volume of any available airplay devices too.
