Should I charge the new iPad while its still in leather case?
I use Yoobao leather case, it's not convenient when taking out my iPad each time it charges.
If I charge the new iPad while its still in leather case, does the heat threaten my battery?

I dont have the new iPad or the Yoobao leather case but I have the original iPad and I use a Targus Case that covers my iPad in much the same way that the Yoobao does. I see no reason why you cannot charge the iPad while it is in the case. If you could not do so, what good would the case be if you have to keep taking the iPad out to charger it.
I'm pretty confident that you will be OK charging while in the case. Just keep a eye on it and look for any signs of overheating if you have concerns.
I would not expect any problems - but if you have concerns - just keep an eye on it.
I almost never remove my iPad1 from it's case. Like I said, that would make having a case sort of pointless if you can't use and operate the iPad normally while it is in the case - and that would include charging the device as well.
I have mine in a Targus leather case that I've been using for my other iPad until the new Maroo I ordered comes in tomorrow. I've charmged twice now in the case and haven't experiennd any overheating issues. I haven't experienced any of the other issues users are posting either. Like others have said, keep an eye on it.

That's what I have bee seeing here but I went to Best Buy last night - and by the way - the supply was plentiful at the local Best buy - not like the iPad2 supply - and I played around with all three "new iPads" that they had on site. I did not notice any issues with those devices as far as heat was concerned. I do agree that each device has to be monitored by the user - but I wanted to see for myself before I take the plunge.
thanks for your quick reply.
hope the new battery doesn't come with heat problems when charging
The new iPad reportedly gets much hotter than its predecessors. I'd monitor it carefully the first few times you charge it.
Also, I set mine on its edge and at an angle against the wall when I am charging it. This allows for maximum circulation of air.
